Magnolia Regional Health Center Foundation, Inc. Receives Donation from MassMutual

The Magnolia Regional Health Center Foundation recently received a $2,000 donation from Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company (MassMutual) as part of an innovative National Breast Cancer Awareness Month finance seminar held during October, National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. From the well-received Never kissed a frog. Never had to.® series, the Pearls of Wisdom® seminar and discussion group was be led by Sam Kemp, CLU, ChFC with Capital Financial Group, LLC.

“I am delighted that local women struggling with breast cancer and the agencies that serve them will benefit from our donation and commitment to the cause,” said stated Kemp. He added, “We look forward to continuing our support of organizations that provide information and hope to women with breast cancer.”

Kemp’s efforts are part of a MassMutual program that makes charitable contributions to local breast cancer awareness programs in the names of its local agents, who works extensively with women’s groups and women clients. Under the program, MassMutual uses its education financial seminars for women, like the seminar present by Mr. Kemp, to raise awareness of breast cancer.

MassMutual Financial Group is the fleet name for Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company (MassMutual) and its affiliates, with more than $450 billion in assets under management at year-end 2006. Approaching the end of 2010, many donors are considering their year-end giving. Donating to patient support services provides a special opportunity for donors to invest in the future of healthcare. Gifts from the community make successes at MRHC possible. Donors may designate contributions to specifics programs including support patient services at The Cancer Center at Magnolia. Donors interested in supporting the Foundation’s efforts, may do so by simply earmarking their gift for “patient support services.” Contributions may be mailed to: MRHC Foundation, Inc., 611 Alcorn Drive, Corinth, Mississippi 38834. In order to be eligible for a 2010 tax deduction, charitable contributions must be received or postmarked by December 31, 2010.

Established in 1980, Magnolia Regional Health Center Foundation, Inc. was organized exclusively for the purpose of supporting and benefiting the charitable, educational and scientific efforts of Magnolia Regional Health Center and similar 501 (c) (3) organizations in Corinth and Alcorn County. Today, the Foundation secures charitable support for quality healthcare programs and services that improve the health and wellbeing of the people of Corinth, Alcorn County and the surrounding region. Funding from the Foundation specifically supports MRHC, community health initiatives and healthcare scholarships. Magnolia Regional Health Center Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization and a registered charitable organization. All contributions to the Foundation are tax-deductible as allowed by law.
