Position Title: Medical Technologist

Department:LAB
Position Description: Position performs and submits results on specimens received for analysis using instrumentation or manual methods. Performs arterial punctures. Must be able to assemble lab instruments and verify operation. Designs and monitors record and quality systems. Assists in development of new department procedures. Instructs and supervises supportive personnel. Collaborates and works well with others to complete work. Must be responsible and organized.

    Qualifications:
    Education:Bachelor's degree in medical technology or an appropriate biological/physical/chemical/medical science from an accredited college or university or the equivalent, including at least one year of appropriate clinical education. Certification or eligible for certification in clinical laboratory science by a recognized certifying agency is required.
    Experience:Prior healthcare experience is a plus.
