Mammographer/Stereotactic Bx Coordinator

BASIC PURPOSE: Coordinates exam/scheduling with surgeon/radiologist. Performs mandatory QC tests on stereo unit. Responsible for specimen handling and radiograph. Orders supplies—maintains inventory. Coordinates pathology results with surgeon/radiologists. Maintains a log of patients and pathology results. Works closely with nursing staff. Coordinates patient follow-up (six months’ F/U appointment) Performs radiological mammography exams. May assist clerical staff in the maintenance of records and files. May schedule appointments and register patients. Responsible for MQSA and FDA regulations to stereotactic BX. Responsible for camera calibration. Works closely with surgeon/ radiologists.
