Program Goals and Objectives

  • Have a working knowledge of the future of cardiac genetics and its role in healthcare
  • Enhance skills in evaluation and management of chest pain
  • Incorporate advanced cardiac imaging into daily practice
  • Understand role of the electrophysiologist in managing patients with heart failure
  • Understand the role of new drug therapies for diabetes mellitus in cardiovascular disease
  • Integrate weight control for best outcomes
  • Identify causes and management of DVT/PTE
  • Understand the role of tick borne diseases in cardiovascular health

 

Target Audience

The symposium is designed for cardiologists, internists, primary care providers, cardiovascular surgeons, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, medical residents, cardiology fellows, and specialists caring for patient with cardiovascular disease.

Continuing Education Credits

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through the joint sponsorship of the Mississippi State Medical Association, Mississippi Osteopathic Medical Association, Mississippi Nurses Foundation, and the Magnolia Department of Graduate Medical Education. MSMA is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians. MSMA designates this live event for a maximum of 11.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.

Mississippi Osteopathic Medical Association is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians. MOMA designates 9.75 AOA Category 1-A Credits, and 1.75 Category 2-B Credits. Magnolia Regional Health Center designates 11.5 CNE credits to be awarded. Participants should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Crazy K Ranch is a premier facility located in Michie, TN, just 17 miles northeast of Corinth, MS. The property is easily accessible and offers a variety of accommodations and excellent meeting facilities.

This program will be presented in the large event center at the Crazy K Ranch located at 833 North Prather Road, Michie, Tennessee 38357. Registrants are responsible for lodging and meals other than scheduled dinner, breakfast, refreshment breaks and lunch. Cabins are limited and rates vary so call soon to reserve yours! Two Ways to Register

There is a nominal registration fee of $100.00 for this program. The registration fee is waived for employees of Magnolia Regional Health Center and members of the TSPO/TSPN. Advanced registration is required no later than noon on September 27th.
