Using molecular computational tools, such as Autodock and MCCE, I modeled the kinetics of quinone binding to the large transmembrane protein, reaction centers. This study shed light on why anionic ligands bind with slow kinetics. The concepts illustrated in this study have widespread significance because they can be applied to any binding system involving a change in molecular charge.

Characterized possible epitopes derived from the processing of collagen by matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs). Mass spectroscopy was used to get sequence data. Data was analyzed using LTQ software and the MASCOT searching algorithm. The information was used to construct a peptidomic profile of human lymph.

Assisted in the synthesis of peptidomimetic compounds that target the HIV-1 fusion mechanism. Fluorescent binding assay was used to determine gp41 binding capacity at TUCOM
