Program Goals and Objectives

  • Review the national guidelines for the treatment of COPD
  • Discuss Infectious Disease Updates for 2019
  • Identify and understand the recommended guidelines for the utilization of hormone replacement therapy in post-menopausal women
  • Increase provider awareness of evidence-based guidelines regarding community-acquired pneumonia and updates in the treatment and utilization of procalcitonin
  • Discuss new treatment options in cardiovascular disease
  • Review the Internists’ Guide to Providing Medical Co-management of Surgical Conditions
  • Utilize the knowledge presented to improve care of common illnesses encountered in our service area

Continuing Education Credits

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through the joint sponsorship of the Mississippi State Medical Association, Mississippi Osteopathic Medical Association, and Magnolia Regional Health Center. MSMA designates this live event for a maximum of 13.5 AMA PRA Category 1-A Credit(s)™ and Mississippi Osteopathic Medical Association designates 12.75 AOA Category 1-A Credits and .75 Category 2-B Credits. Participants should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Crazy K Ranch is a premier facility located in Michie, TN, just 17 miles northeast of Corinth, MS. The property is easily accessible and offers a variety of accommodations and excellent meeting facilities.

Session 1 will be presented in the large event center at the Crazy K Ranch located at 833 North Prather Road, Michie, Tennessee 38357.
Session 2 (ambulatory-based) will be located in the small event center. Registrants are responsible for lodging and meals other than scheduled breakfast, lunch, refreshment breaks and dinner.

There is a nominal registration fee of $125.00 for this program. The registration fee is waived for employees of Magnolia Regional Health Center and members of the TSPO/TSPN. Advanced registration is required no later than March 22nd.
